We have made history and I lived to see it.  Our country has elected a man of color to be President of the United States of America.

It's about time.

I wonder though, if anyone has thought past the historical event at the world wide implications?  There are countries the will react unfavorably to an African American no matter what his office.  The mere mention of his name, a Muslim name, will change the course of relations to countries, people, and our face to the world. 

I am far from a racist and never will be racist.  I am overjoyed that we have overcome the stodgy old white power mongers, and I am hopeful that this really will bring change to our country that is much needed.

Let's just see if it happens though, or is he like the rest?  Full of promises but never able to deliver.

Urine Test(Urine Or Your Out)

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?  Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their rear end,
doing drugs, while I work. . .

I just watched Purple Rain in 1080i HD and loved every minute of it, just like I did when I was on leave from Navy boot camp in 1984.  I was dancing in the isles with my friends, and Prince was one of my musical idols. 

I would have been dancing around my living room if my shoulder wasn't hosed.
