King Kong

I have no idea why I watch King Kong.  Probably because it is one of the best stories or parables ever written.  Makes me cry like a baby and hate our callous humanity even more each time.

I Miss You

I remember the last time I held you.
I remember the last time I kissed your forehead.
I still feel you lying on my chest.
I remember the bats.
They will come back, can we?
I hurt more than you know.
I miss you.
I love you.

FarkTV-Baby Trade

Remember a story in the news about a woman who wanted to trade sell her baby to buy a car not too long ago?  I love Fark...

Resolution

FedEx refunded me the amount I spent to ship my computer back to California.  The security guy at FedEx says that the driver has been dealt with "in the extreme" but that he cannot go into details.  Sounds like bullshit placating to me.  I am going to pursue a civil suit until they show me the driver has been dealt with.

CyberpowerPC refunded me the full price for the computer.  PC World has been in contact with me and are researching my reports of horrible customer service and false advertising.  The advertisements will be pulled out of the magazine soon I am sure.

I am going to hold off until I move into the house we are buying to purchase another computer.  When I fired up my old PC, it ran like clockwork, and continues to do so, unfailingly.  It's old and not viable for bragging rights, but it is a solid piece of equipment and comfortable to me like an old blanket.

Update On CyberpowerPC Fiasco

CyberpowerPC.com has given me a complete refund.  Probably the only thing they have done right during this month of hell.  Fuck them.  Come to find out, they are based in Korea or something, and have a small center over here.  They didn't declare the value of the PC when they shipped it, did not insure it, and when I called and informed them how the PC was delivered, they did nothing.  They dropped the ball.  Complete idiots.

"Buy with Confidence!!! CyberPower proudly offer 24/7 Lifetime Techsupport to all existing and new customers" (Direct quote, nothing changed).

Bullshit.  You can send them an email and they don't get back to you, or leave a message and they get back to you 3 days later, without knowing anything about why you called, with a rude Asian guy that has a ridiculous attitude and sense of superiority, or a rude Asian guy with an incomprehensible accent that's stoned and calls your very baritone, obviously male voice "Mrs." over the phone repeatedly.

As for FedEx, they compensated me for the cost of shipping the PC back to California.  Their internal security people are trying to interview this complete fuck-up of a driver, and will be getting back to me.  I spoke to the local terminal this morning.  I am still waiting to see what they do.  If nothing is done, I can send the guy to jail, or file a civil suit.  He can get 5 years and a $10,000 fine for forging my signature.
