Reduce 90% Of Junk Snail Mail

Evidently if you contact the services listed below, you can get rid of 90% of the junk postal mail you receive.

This is the Postal Service Statement:

The Postal Service must deliver all properly posted mail. You can, however, reduce the amount of advertising mail you receive by contacting the following organizations to request removal of your name from mailing lists:

Mail Preference Service
Direct Marketing Association
P.O. Box 282
Carmel, NY 10512-0282

Trans Union LLC
Name Removal Option
P.O. Box 505
Woodlyn, PA 19094-0505

Experian Consumer Services
901 W. Bond Street
Lincoln, NE 68521-3694

Equifax Inc.
Name Removal Option
P.O. Box 740241
Atlanta, GA 30374-0241

Up to 90 percent of mailing lists are accessed by this process. Registrants generally note a decrease of unsolicited mail one to three months after their names are listed. Since some customers may receive mail under various names, include alternative names or spellings to ensure that the advertiser's mail is stopped.

In summary, by law we must deliver ALL mail that has been paid for - including your private personal mail and that of businesses and organizations.

Google's Intentional Valentine's Day Oops

If you have been to Google today you will see the following:

If you look, the "L" in "Google" is missing.  It's all over Digg.com and many other sites that Google made a mistake.  Some are saying the chocolate forms the "L".  I think this was done purposely like many times before.  If you do a search for "Googe", in the results is a Wikipedia Link to a 16th century poet named "Barnabe Googe".  It looks he is is best known in Australia for the line "I did but see her passing by, and yet I love her till I die."

My Daughter Loves Me :)

Things In the Sky.

When I was little,
before my brothers had life,
we would lay on the ground,
just to watch night come to life.

Things from the barn,
tiny with wings.
Daddy called them Bats.
Each little one, would sing.

The round thing in the clouds,
it was orange, and mighty high.
Dad called it "the sun".
But soon after, it died.

No wait! It came back,
bigger and white,
"The Moon" was it's name.
But the littler things, gave me much fright.

The light, white dots,
they brightened the dark.
He said they were stars,
oh, what a journey we could embark.

Then my mommy would call,
"Time to come in!"
And yes, I did know...
tomorrow, we'd watch it again.
