I am so proud of my children, they made a good and life saving decision. They were riding their bicycles by a house a few blocks from here when my middlest, "Roo", saw smoke coming from a window in a house, and my youngest saw flames. My daughter immediately went to the door of the home and pounded on it until someone came to the door, they ran out and called the fire department. Evidently someone had been working with a torch inside and thought the area they had been working in was cooled down.
Since moving to this new town, we have been carrying the camera every, taking pictures of this beautiful place, so they were able to get some pictures which you can see below.
I think they saved lives and prevented a huge amount of property damage. Quick thinking and a good decision. The owner of the home gave them each a card and $50 in thanks.
